How to change the default browser in Windows 10 (Latest version)


Microsoft launched a new integrated browser launching Windows 10: Microsoft Edge. It is billed to be lightweight and fast, but many PC owners may not have an integrated browser forced into their faces. Choice is the key to happiness. We'll show you how to change the default browser in Windows 10.

Installing a new browser will prompt you to set it as default. It's not ideal in the initial test and error where you want to test a browser before you make a lifetime commitment. Our guide shows you how to manually set the default browser through the settings and from five popular web browsers.

This guide is based on Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update).

From the Settings app

1. Click start and choose the "Rat" icon on the Start menu. This opens the Settings application.

4. Browse Web browser.
5. Click the present default browser.

From Microsoft Edge (1809)

From Google Chrome (74.0.3729.157)
